Parts to be Sent Away

The first thing to do before taking the engine out, was to do a tail chop. Not everyone agrees with this mod, but for us it's an absolute must.
Duck Stew on the DML (Stuart of Flight Motorcycles in the US) kindly sent us some specially made up billet plugs to weld into the frame ends. Once welded, the frame was then handed over to Rae at Brooklands Auto Body in Dalkeith, for powder coating and painting.
The engine covers were removed and sent to Jackson's of Kelty to be painted. The swing arm, suspension hoop and various other bits and pieces were sent to Aerocoat in Norfolk for powder coating.
